As a platform we have a very loose informal structure with no legal basis, where those participating in the activities make up the heart and soul of the platform.  Everybody’s participation is completely voluntary.

Live or Online Forum Sessions

These monthly forum sessions provide a live or online informal meeting place balanced with some key elements, such as:

  • administrative matters, for example, the reporting on the progress of our different social projects;
  • prepared presentations, presented by eloquent speakers and leaders in their field of expertise that provide the rich content and personal experience around a leadership topic;
  • a discussion session, the most important part of the forum that fosters a healthy exchange of perspectives regarding the topic presented, between active member and first time visitors a like.

This is concluded with closing remarks by the presenter and possibly by those present as well, including follow up actions to be taken regarding the subject matter.  It is highly suggested that those attending the live session write an A4 on the subject matter before they attend, as this helps them focus on the topic, promotes the formulation of questions, and sharpens retention as well.

The forum is further extended online through which participants at the previous live session can continue their discussions on the topic presented during the session, or where active members can elaborate on other leadership related topics.

To be a facilitator for the forum one must preferably have attended at least one previous session and must have reviewed the CLF Evaluation document, in order to be an effective presenter and properly aligned for the forum.

Programs

Programs are more structured activities that may have originated as an idea from one of the forum sessions in support of the vision, mission, and objectives of the Curaçao Leadership Forum, and that are conducted on a periodic bases, such as the  Curaçao Leadershp Award Program that is conducted yearly, and the Sponsorship Programs.  Sponsorship programs provide financial support for programs and projects, through funds provide by prominant organizations in the community and thereby take the opportunity to meet their Corporate Social Responsibility goals and build goodwill with the community they serve.  Examples of the sponsored programs and projects are: the Leadership Award Program, the initial development of the Communication  Platform (the website), and the Youth Vision 5000 project.

Projects

Project support the vision, mission, and objectives of the Curaçao Leadership Forum through one time, short or long-term planned activities.  One such project is the Youth Vision 5000.  Another project is the Logo Design for the Curaçao Leadership Forum.

To realize all these activities, forming teams and collaboration including the formation of alliances with other organizations is highly encouraged.
